Text: Galatians 6:1-9
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. [2] Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. [3] For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. [4] But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. [5] For every man shall bear his own burden. [6] Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. [7] Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. [8] For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. [9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Title: “This Is Our Season”
Introduction: God has blessed us to complete another year. We have come through many toils and snares, dangers seen and unseen during 2020. But this year we are going to “Maximize Our Potential.” We are going to become the best versions of ourselves that we can possibly become. All of us have experience some hurt and pain because of the once in a lifetime pandemic. Right night as I speak Covid-19 is taking another life. And since God has spare us to be alive, He also has given us hope. We have hope that we shall live and not die. We have hope that God will send His angels to cover us. And we have hope that the Holy Spirit will guide us. But most of all we have hope that we can rise out of the ashes of chaos and confusion, desperation and despair and become the best version of whom God expects us to be. This is our time to maximize our potential.
The enemy knows his season is coming to a rapid close, he has intensified his attacks against us with this corona virus. The case and deaths are skyrocketing every day. But I pray that God will get us through this time until we can see better days. Therefore it is imperative that we walk closely to God and hear His voice for instructions and directions to keep moving into our season of purpose and destiny.
We must come to understand as the Genesis tells us, as long as the earth remains there will be seed time and harvest. If we put in our seed- time, we are guaranteed to experience our harvest time, that’s if we hold on and hold out.
Sometimes, it seems as if our season is never going to come. Sometimes it seems as though every body else is passing us by and our blessing is never going to happen but, we should never allow ourselves to get into the competing and complaining game. We should say, “What God has for me, is it is for me” and Satan can’t stop me from acquiring my dream.
The truth of the matter this morning is that our season has come, if we can believe it and accept it by faith. In-spite of the many challenges and obstacles that come our way. We must simply stay the course and remain focuses on the vision and assignment that God has destined for our lives.
The question that aggravates most of us is the question of how long must I endure before I receive the physical manifestation of my blessing. And the answer to that question is not long my friend, not long.
The children of Israel spent 40 years in the wilderness walking basically in a circle because they refuse to go in. Fear was the major factor that prevented them from going in. There is always so much to be afraid of and Satan will always paint us the worst picture to keep us from moving forward. But all the while He’s gaining more strength and acquiring more territory.
For the remainder of this year, we must fight back spiritually and not give in.
This is what Deuteronomy 2:1-3 says,”1Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red sea, as the Lord spake unto me: and we compassed mount Seir many days.
2And the Lord spake unto me, saying,
3Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.
If we are going to maximize our potential we have to turn and go north. We can not afford to turn around and go back. 2020 has done what it was going to do. 2021 is here, turn and go north.
TEXT
In our text, Galatians chapter 6, the Apostle Paul addresses the Galatians about living a life of service. He alludes to the fact a believer is free from the Law of Moses and possesses liberty in the Spirit, but he must fulfill the law of Christ, and this can be done in the power of the Holy Spirit. Such a life involves sacrificial service directed toward all people.
Paul deals with a hypothetical case of a Christian who is caught
(proleômphtheô) in a sin, or better, is “caught by a sin.” The thought is that of someone running from sin but sin, being faster, overtakes and catches him.
Now as Christians we must know that there are some people who really do care about us and want us to succeed. There will always be some player haters, but most of the saints desire that we do well. We all have faults and it’s better to acknowledge them and let God forgive us and cleanse us rather than trying to cover up our sins.
Galatians 6:1-2, says, “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. [2] Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” [KJV]
Also, we need to know who we are in Christ. We need to know that we are the righteousness of God. We should know that we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ. We need to know that we are the children of God and we can cry Abba Father.
Galatians 6:3-5, says, “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. [4] But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. [5] For every man shall bear his own burden.” [KJV]
I’m going to be all right because my season has come. If I do what needs to be done, I’ll succeed. I may not get there when you get there, but eventually I will get there.
That’s why Galatians 6:9, says, “And let us not be weary in well
doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” [KJV]
DUE SEASON HAS COME. THIS IS YOUR SEASON FOR GOOD HEALTH, FAVOR AND BLESSINGS.
“NOBODY CAN BEAT YOU AT BEING YOU!” There’s a special plan that God has for you that’s not for anyone else. Therefore we shouldn’t covet and we shouldn’t try to imitate or compare ourselves with others. We should set our own goals for 2021 and establish and our own timetables to achieve them, as the Holy Spirit leads us. You don’t have to be a copy cat. Find your special talent and ability, and find your own special avenue of revenue. You don’t have to get seed the same way someone else does, Be unique and be special. Glean from others, but don’t be like others. Deuteronomy 5:21 says, “Neither shalt thou desire thy neighbour's wife, neither shalt thou covet thy neighbour's house, his field, (occupation) or his manservant, or his maidservant, his ox, (truck) or his ass, (car) or any thing that is thy neighbour's.
God is just too great for us to me worried about other peoples blessing and not focusing on being the best person that we can be. Nobody else in the world can do what we can do and be who we are.
1) Quitting is not an option for us as believers. If something is His will and it’s in the word, we should not quit or give up on Him. People now days give up to easily. That’s one of our greatest problems. We must be persistent if we expect to be over comers. (V 2-5) And you must know that God will always answer prayer and not only will He answer it but He will answer it speedily. (V 6-8)
Luke 18:1-8
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.
He should have been a devout Jew who reverenced God, but the scripture gives three very important descriptions about this man. Number one, He did not fear God and he had no reverence for God and number three he had no regards for his fellow man
I hate to say it but it’s true, many people today are just like this unjust judge. They do not reverence God and they have no regard for their fellow man. Our society is filled full of atheists and agnostics, unbelievers and doubters. Man thinks that he’s God himself. He thinks that there are no absolutes in this world and he can do his own thing. Our society is filled with anarchy every where. Lawlessness fills the land. People are sacrilegious and disregard everything that is sacred. People use the Lord’s name in vain and think absolutely nothing of it.
All of this was quite evident as we saw anarchist and domestic terrorist attack the U.S. capitol building last week, causing the death of at least 5 persons. This was a tragedy beyond measure. The demonic forces of hate and injustice had come to a zenith on steps of the U.S. capitol.
But with everything going going on, we must continue to remain focus on what God had call us to do and maximize our potential.
We need to reverence God and have regard for our fellow man.
In the New Testament society, the widow woman was the most abused and dejected woman of that day. The abuse and dejection of the widows had come to an all-time high in the sixth chapter of the book of Acts to the extent that we see deacons coming on the scene to primarily serve the widows. Paul admonishes the new testament saint to take care of the widows of the church who were sixty years of age and older.
The scripture says that she had to go before this unjust judge.Too often, Christians have to go before the unjust. Too often good people have to submit to wicked people who are in power. That’s why we should be actively involved in every area of life. There should be Christians involved in politics, business, education, entertainment and other areas of society. The righteous need representation as well.
The bible says that this woman wanted justice or recompense. She says avenge me of my adversary. My question is who would be an adversary of an old widow woman? Who was cheating this woman out of her money? Maybe this woman was cheated by some business man. Maybe he was scammer or and fraud. May he was like a telemarketer or con artist soliciting fund from the elderly.
The bible says that some time had expired and the unjust judge gave things more thought. God will cause the unrighteous to give things another thought. The wicked will end up blessing you and won’t even know why they are showing you favor. The bible says, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, even his enemies will be at peace with him.
This widow troubled the judge. She operated the principle called the Law of Perseverance. She visited this man’s court room every day until she got results. She kept on and on appealing her case because she knew she was in the right. She insisted that what was hers was hers and no devil in hell was going to steal her joy. She had a made up mind.
My brothers and sister you must have a made up mind and operate in the Law of Perseverance. You must visit God’s court room day after day on your knees until you get results. The bible tells us to come boldly before the throne of grace and let our request be known unto God. You must insist that what’s yours is yours and you shall not be denied. You must know that our God is about to avenge us of our adversary the devil. And as far as I can see in the end we win.
You must know that this is the season to live in the overflow. God is going to bless you to be a blessing. God is going to bless you so that you can maximize you, being the best person that you can possibly be.

T.S. I don’t know how you feel about it?Summary: But this is our due season. We can not become weary in well doing. For in due season, we shall reap if we faint not. This is our season for grace and favorThis is our season to reap what we have sownGod is leaning in our directionClincher: Abe Lincoln fail several times, but he became our 16th PresidentMichael Jordon missed more shots than he made, but He’s the GOAT (The greatest of all time)Babe Ruth struck out more times than He hit the ball, but he’s still the kingJoeseph had one set back after another but he still rose to greatness
Persuader: Abraham and Sarah had reason to give up but they didn’t.
God made them a promise…
He took His time fulfilling it.
He waited until they were old.
And He took an improbability and made it a possibility.
At 100 years old Abraham knew Sarah who was 90 years old
and she conceived and birth Isaac the son of the promise.
My brothers and sisters,
you all should never give up on God.
Never give up on His word.
Never give up on Jesus.
This is your season.
Claim by faith. Walk in it by faith.
Concluding Statements/Celebration:
I’m glad that Jesus himself wasn’t a quitter…
I’m glad that He didn’t give up on us…
I glad that He endured the shame…
despise the rejection…
but never said a mumbling word…
and endured the cross…
hung bleed and died…
for your sins and my sins…
but 3 days later He got up with all power in his hands
and because He never gave up…
I don’t have to give up…
Never…Never…Never…Never give up on God…
He will bring it to pass!
HE WILL MAXIMIZE YOUR POTENTAL…This is our season!
